We are happy to announce that ONLYOFFICE is now available as a One-Click App on the DigitalOcean Marketplace. It means that you can get up and running your private cloud office within a robust and reliable DigitalOcean infrastructure in seconds. Read this blog post to learn more.
DigitalOcean is the cloud of choice for developers around the world to create modern applications. With a community of more than 3.5 million developers and a global network of data centers, they focus on open source and simplicity to allow developers and their teams to spend more time on innovation instead of managing complex infrastructure.
Earlier this year DigitalOcean announced the launch of Marketplace — a new platform with easy-to-use partner-built solutions to enable easier app development, deployment and scaling with DigitalOcean’s signature 1-click simplicity.
“Joining the DigitalOcean Marketplace today we take a huge step in bringing the most innovative office apps to everyone, said Tatiana Kochedykova, Head of Marketing at ONLYOFFICE. “In seconds, developers and teams can deploy a complete private cloud office platform with collaborative online document editors, tools for project planning, document, mail and client management, corporate network, all to organize their teamwork and improve productivity.“
“As developers and small- and mid-sized businesses turn to modern apps to power their latest projects, we want to help make app creation easier from start to finish,” said Nick Wade, Head of Ecosystem & Marketplace for DigitalOcean. “By building upon DigitalOcean’s Developer Cloud to simplify infrastructure, ONLYOFFICE 1-Click App lets developers and teams spin up a private cloud office with a full range of collaboration tools to manage docs, projects, and CRM in one place.”
First, log in to your DigitalOcean account (if you have any) or create a new one.
Then go to the Marketplace, select “ONLYOFFICE” and click the “Create Droplet” button.
Choose your plan. The size requirement for ONLYOFFICE depends on which ONLYOFFICE components you will use, how many users will work in your cloud office, and the number of documents and mail you plan to store. 8 GB is recommended to run it smoothly.
Add backups and block storage if needed. Choose a data center region closest to your geographic location to reduce page load times.
Specify a hostname. Then click “Create”.
Log in to your droplet using one of two options:
- A root password received by email. We strongly recommend changing the root password when prompted.
- An SSH key, a more secure way of logging in. If you choose this option, click New SSH key to add a new SSH key or select a previously added key (if you have any).
Finally, type in your browser: https:// to access your cloud office platform.
