Heroic & Villainous Cat Names Inspired By DC Extended Universe Movies

Cat in Superman T-shirt

Do you have a new cat in your life who looks like a certain hero? Or maybe their personality is a little more villainous. Or maybe you’re just a big fan of the characters in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) movies. Whatever the case may be, your kitty needs a name, and these films provide no shortage of great cat name inspiration!

DC comics was founded by pulp magazine writer Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson in 1934. He introduced the world to superheroes like Batman, Cat Woman, Superman, The Green Lantern, and many, many more. He also introduced the world to unforgettable supervillains, like The Joker and Lex Luther.

Of course, there are plenty of DC characters who haven’t appeared on the big screen as part of the current DCEU. However, a few have appeared in other films that aren’t included in the most recent canon.

Although, that’s not to say that these characters won’t make future appearances in the same universe. Here are a few cat names from films that feature characters from DC, but aren’t part of the DCEU… yet.

  • Green Lantern (2011) names: Hal, Hector, Ferris, Janice, Sinestro, Jordan
  • The Dark Knight Trilogy (2005-2012) names: Bane, Selena, Fox, Robin, Crane, Ducard, Ra’s, Harvey
  • Watchmen (2009) names: Spectre, Manhattan, Rorschach, Owl, Moloch, Blake
  • Batman movies (1989-1997) names: Vicki, Ivy, Alicia, Mayor, Mr. Freeze, Batgirl, Riddler, Penguin, Cat Woman

How do you feel about the DCEU films? It seems like a new one is announced just about every few months. You can also wait until they are available for streaming and watch them in the comfort of your home with your kitties!
