The punishment ofDenki Groove member and actorPierre Taki has been swift. The Narcotics Control Department of Japan’s Health, Labor and Welfare Ministry arrested Taki on Tuesday for alleged illegal possession and use of cocaine. Since the arrest,Square Enix has recast his role as Olaf via a patch inKingdom Hearts III,Sega temporarily cease sales of itsJudgment PlayStation 4 game, four different broadcasters cancelled or replaced his role in their programming, and this weekend’sDenki Groove concert is scrapped.

Another smaller erasure of Taki’s legacy was noticed by Twitter user Step_Jerk on Wednesday. Taki was one of two individuals painted onto a custom manhole cover on the street outside the south exit of the Fujieda railway station in Fujieda, Shizuoka. According to Step_Jerk’s post, the cover was there that morning but was gone by 6 p.m. that day.

The manhole cover was made to promoteShizuoka Asahi TV‘sPierre Taki no Shonnai TV variety show, one of the programs recently cancelled. It was put in place in September 2017. Taki is himself a Shizuoka native.
