Bandai Namco has released a new trailer for their upcoming 3D mashup fighter, Jump Force, that showcases the game’s character creation features. Images of One Piece looking characters wearing Dragon Ball outfits come to mind, but I’m sure other players will have a lot more creative ideas for their own custom characters.
The customization options shown in the trailer look great and it seems that items from characters not even appearing in the game will be available too. The idea of having an arsenal of moves from different characters make the mode very appealing too. You can check out the full trailer below:
The trailer also lightly touches upon the game’s story, even though it’s just in brief glimpses and short lines. We can see Trunks from Dragon Ball activating some kind of apparatus with a mysterious cube. The game’s antagonists also seem to be using something called the “Onyx Book” to remake our world, which is where the story is supposedly set. This seems to be what triggered heroes from the different worlds featured in Shonen Jump to come together.
Four new characters have also been confirmed for the game. These are Trunks from Dragon Ball (who appears in the trailer), Boa Hancock from One Piece, Renji Abarai from Bleach, and Izuku Midori from My Hero Academia.
Jump Force is set to launch on February 15th for PC, Xbox One and PS4.
