There’s no doubt that CD Projekt Red’s upcoming tabletop-inspired RPG, Cyberpunk 2077, is one of the most highly-anticipated titles ever. If you’re doubtful, you can just take a look at the stats of its recent gameplay reveal on Twitch — it has now become the most watched stream for an upcoming game so far this year on the platform.
The same gameplay reveal was shown in a closed-door session to a select group during this year’s E3, however CDPR has waited up until recently to debut the footage to the rest of the gaming community. Just in case you haven’t gotten the chance to watch the gameplay reveal yet, here it is:
Videogame stats site Githyp reported that the official stream on Twitch “saw a peak of 288k viewers — while there were a total of 459k concurrent viewers watching when factoring in restreams — making Cyberpunk 2077 the most watched game on Twitch [that day].” The video has also been made available on YouTube, where it has gotten over 5 million views and 260K likes in just 2 days.
Unfortunately, even after finally revealing a lot about how the game looks and plays, CDPR still won’t tell us when the game will actually launch. They’re still sticking to their “when it’s ready” stance. That’s definitely not a bad thing, but it doesn’t make the wait any less agonizing either.
